Developing new customers and promoting product together with the sales team.

Ensure good communication when receiving RFQ from customers, understand their requirements, working conditions and assembly geometries. Working with oversea technical center closely to get project nominated as a window person.

Understand customer’s specification, regulations or test conditions, ensure validation tests to be performed overseas precisely.

Maintain good relationships with customers at technical levels as well as effective communication within HUTCHINSON internal network (Europe/China/US/Asean)

Summarize design proposal or test results and report to customer. He/She must be well organized and be able to respect project schedules.

Support technical inquiries from RFI/RFQ stages to serial production including quality issues.

Job Title: Application Engineer

Job Summary:

As the third largest non-tire rubber manufacturer in the world, our company Hutchinson offers rubber products for automotive, aerospace as well as rail, construction, industry, and defense. We are currently looking for a new engineer to support our growing business in Asian market and especially in Japan.

Missions and Responsibilities:

Skills and requirements:

Engineering skills (mechanical or material science background). Capable of reading drawings and propose 2D or 3D design. Experience in FEA simulation is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to understand and summarize key points in all sorts of communication (face-to-face meeting, email, phone call, online meeting).

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Be able to work both independently and in a team.

Multi-project/multi-task management skills are important. Respect project milestones and deadlines.

Able to work in an international and cross-cultural environment.
