What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a corporate tax function, or minimum of 4–5 years with a Big 4 accounting firm; industry experience (retail, apparel) is a plus
• Experience in a US-listed company, and US Tax Provision (ASC 740), strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of Japan's tax laws and regulations
• Experience in APAC tax operations and compliance strongly preferred

• Bachelor's degree or above; major in Accounting/Finance/Tax or equivalent
• Fluent (both verbally and in writing) in Japanese and English, Chinese is a plus
• Zeirishi (tax accountant) qualification or CPA certificate or equivalent is a plus

• Knowledge of JGAAP and U.S. GAAP accounting requirements
• High attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills required
• High level of proficiency in Excel required
• Ability to use OneSource Tax Provision software, and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle and Hyperion, strongly preferred
• Ability to deliver under pressure and tight deadlines
• Willing to adapt, take on new challenges and drive continual improvements to tax provision, reporting and compliance processes
