Your new role

• Lead, develop, test, and deliver new services and enhancements on supported cloud platforms, adhering to standard policies and guidelines.
• Provide 24x7 support as part of the Global Cloud Operations team, following the Follow The Sun Support (FTSS) model, which includes on-call rotation and potential weekend work.
• Develop and maintain robust scripts, tools, and templates to automate common tasks and resolve technical issues using agile development methods.
• Collaborate with application teams throughout the lifecycle to ensure reliable and scalable cloud platforms and services. • Work with the Engineering function and other IT teams to discuss and agree on enhancements and improvements to address challenges or issues.
• Operate in a hybrid environment with applications hosted both internally and on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google).
• Document operational run books and provide coaching to team members as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

**Must be a resident of Japan**

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with automation technologies for building, deploying, and integrating infrastructure and applications (e.g., Hashicorp Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible).
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and EKS (or alternatively Docker and ECS).
• Over 5 years of experience in infrastructure operations within a cloud-based environment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficient in business-level communication in both Japanese and English.
• Skilled in cloud automation technologies, including scripting in Python/Bash to interact with cloud provider APIs.
• Practical experience in managing configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Familiarity with code repositories (Git), project tracking tools (Jira), and ITIL ticketing systems (ServiceNow), as well as the GitOps framework and Hashicorp Vault.
• Experience working with Linux and Windows server platforms, with a solid understanding of networking and core infrastructure components like DNS, NTP, LDAP, SSO, Active Directory, and Windows SCCM.
• Strong team player, capable of collaborating with colleagues across regions to achieve shared goals.
