Your new role

• Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift Container Platform (i.e. NCP/OCP), including operators, service mesh, storage, and networking components.
• Implement multi-cluster OpenShift environments ensuring high availability, security, and disaster recovery.
• Manage the container lifecycle on OpenShift, including building, deploying, scaling, and monitoring containers using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Implement and maintain OpenShift security policies, including role-based access control (RBAC), image registry management, and network policies.
• Troubleshooting container performance issues, networking challenges, and deployment failures.
• Up to date with all the OpenShift platform deployment variants and releases.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift (or Kubernetes) deployment, configuration, and management.
• Proficiency with Linux administration (Red Hat-based distributions).
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker, and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Nokia products like NCS/ NCP
• Scripting and automation skills with Bash, Python, or other relevant languages.
• Experience of migrating applications to containerized environments
• Advanced Storage Technologies such as LVM, ISCSI, Multipath, SAN & NAS, Red Hat CEPH Storage (ODF)
• Advance OCP Networking: Bonding, Bridging, Switching, VLAN Configuration etc.
• Good hands-on experience in deployment of RHOCP on BareMetal Servers with external SAN Storage based on the LLD design.
• Every release brings new issues. Ex: Candidate needs to know about the release changes w.r.t usage of RHOCP
• Kernel and Performance tuning: Memory, I/O tuning, queue depth tuning, boosting storage IOPS by tuning at RHCOS level, OCP level etc.
• Knowledge of Middleware services on OCP like Observability stack (monitoring, auditing and logging), Service Mesh, Secret Management (Vault) etc.
• Backup and Restore of OCP and its workload
