Your new role

As the Retail Design and Construction Specialist, you will be responsible (as part of a small team) for store relocation, refurbishment and interior design projects throughout Japan. Stores are located in leading department stores, outlet malls as well as freestanding. The position reports locally to the head of dept./Director. You will have regular contact with APAC counterparts, as well as European HQ. Some travel within Japan.

What you'll need to succeed

5+ years' experience in design and construction project work, ideally in retail. Experienced in design software (AutoCAD, Photoshop, Word, Excel, PPT). Strong understanding and knowledge of retail design and construction projects. Good negotiation skills (for discussing scope of work within department stores especially). Results-driven and with a proven ability in complete projects to tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, including fluency in Japanese and minimum of business-level English.
