Our client is a listed medical device company headquartered in Europe and specialises in Diagnostics. They have global revenues of 1.7 billion EUR and employ over 3000 people worldwide.
In Japan, they have a new office located in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, with 150 employees and estimated revenues of 150-200 million EUR. The Japanese operations include the main company, headquartered in Italy, and its group company based in the US.
- The Japan Finance team consists of 7 members: Finance Director, Senior Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, FP&A Manager, and 3 temporary staff.
- This role is open as the company seeks to take finance positions in-house.
Your new role
As Senior FP&A Analyst, you will report to the FP&A Manager and support FP&A tasks such as budgeting, rolling and cash forecasting, variance analysis, and management P/L reporting.
Key stakeholders include Sales & Planning, Marketing, Operations, and Accounting teams.
There are additional opportunities to work on SAP system migration and improve financial reporting tools with the global team.
Systems used: SAP (implemented in 2023) and Hyperion (financial planning), with ongoing system integration.
What you'll need to succeed
3–5 years experience in FP&A, Controlling or Consulting experience
Cost Accounting experience is beneficial.
Minimum Nissho Boki 2 required
Fluent Japanese and low-business English (reading, writing, and listening).
